Introduction Incidence of C2 pedicle narrowing is high in patients with congenital C2-3 fusion (C2-3CF). An alternative would be C3 pedicle screw (PS) instrumentation, which will not sacrifice an additional motion segment; however, its feasibility has ...

Realising fusion systems [PDF]
We show that every fusion system (saturated or not) on a p-group S is equal to the fusion system associated to a discrete group G containing S as a subgroup and such that every finite subgroup of G is conjugate to a subgroup of ...

Threonine 348 regulates the subcellular localization of PTEN
Thr348 in the C2 domain is a key contributor to PTEN subcellular localization. The PTEN350 fragment and PTENA4 accumulated in the nucleus, whereas PTENK13R,A4 predominantly localized to the plasma membrane. In contrast, substitution of Thr348 with Asp (T348D) disrupted these characteristic localization patterns, resulting in predominant cytoplasmic ...

Human ABCE1 cannot functionally replace its yeast ortholog. Yeast–human chimera analysis identified NBD1 as a major interspecies barrier. Genetic screening yielded hABCE1 revertants that rescue yeast viability but fail to suppress aberrant translation reinitiation in the 3′ UTR.

Association Between Motor Pathway Damage and Motor Deficit in Upper and Lower Limb in People With MS
ABSTRACT Objective Corticospinal tract damage is common in people with MS, but the degree of clinical symptoms varies. We hypothesize that corticospinal tract lesions are more extensive and severe in people with MS with motor impairments in both upper and lower limbs.

Introduction: The most commonly used techniques for C1-C2 posterior arthrodesis are Goel and Magerl fixation techniques. Due to the anatomical variations of the region, the prior determination of the surgical technique might be hard.

Investigation of Complement Activation and Cytokine Signatures in AQP4+ NMOSD, MOGAD, and MS
ABSTRACT Objective Aquaporin‐4‐IgG seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4+ NMOSD), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD), and multiple sclerosis (MS) are pathophysiologically distinct neuroinflammatory disorders. Complement activation is a major mechanism of injury in AQP4+ NMOSD, whereas its role in
