Research on Power Frequency Insulation Properties and Configurations of CF3SO2F Gas Mixture for Industrial Applications

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The breakdown characteristics of the novel eco‐friendly insulating gas CF3SO2F are fundamental to the design of gas‐insulated equipment. In this paper, the gas mixture parameters for CF3SO2F were optimised for different ambient temperatures in order to ascertain the insulation performance and liquefaction temperature constraints.

Effect of aluminum particles on the insulating properties of C4F7N/CO2 mixed gas

open access: yesAIP Advances
The C4F7N/CO2 mixed gas is most expected to replace SF6 in high-voltage power equipment, and the generation of free metal particles in gas-insulated equipment is unavoidable and highly susceptible to inducing insulation failures.

Multi-temperature thermophysical properties and quenching characteristics of arc plasmas in SF6 and its alternative [PDF]

open access: yes
Gaseous switching arc plasmas near current zero typically deviate from LTE and are often modeled using a two-temperature approach. However, in non-equilibrium plasmas, different energy states may follow separate Boltzmann distributions, each with ...
