Abstract C71: Preclinical evaluation of high-dose APO866, a Nampt inhibitor, with nicotinic acid rescue

Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, 2009
Abstract Leucovorin (folinic acid) rescue is clinically used to protect normal tissues fom methotrexate induced toxicity establishing the concept of rescue in high-dose anti-cancer therapy. Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (Nampt), a homodimeric enzyme, is the rate-limiting step in the resynthesis of nicotinamide adenine ...

Electronic structure and surface morphology of [6,6]-phenyl-C71-butyric acid methyl ester films

Organic Electronics, 2013
Abstract We investigate the electronic structure of [6,6]-phenyl-C 71 -butyric acid methyl ester (PC 70 BM) films by ultraviolet photoelectron and inverse photoemission spectroscopy. We discuss the electronic structure of PC 70 BM in comparison with C 70 and [6,6]-phenyl-C 61 -butyric acid methyl ester (PC 60 BM).

Abstract C71: Overcoming mechanism(s) of resistance to active-site TOR inhibitors in leukemia and lymphoma.

Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, 2011
Abstract Introduction: The PI3K/AKT/TOR signaling network has been the focus of intense research in the cancer field as its activity is commonly elevated across cancers including leukemia and lymphoma. As an integral effector of the network, the target of rapamycin (TOR) functions as the catalytic subunit of two distinct protein ...

Abstract C71: DEAR1 orchestrates selective control over the epithelial-mesenchymal transition axis of TGFβ's function

Cancer Research, 2013
Abstract Little is known about the cellular mechanisms that govern the context dependent roles of the critical cytokine TGFβ, which functions in breast cancer as either a tumor suppressor to restrict proliferation in early stage disease or a master driver of epithelial-mesenchymal transition during invasion and metastasis.

Preparation of enantiopure (R)-flurbiprofen catalyzed by a newly isolatedBacillus cereusC71

Biocatalysis and Biotransformation, 2007
A new strain that produced a lipase capable of enantioselectively hydrolyzing the ethyl ester of (R)-flurbiprofen was isolated from soil samples and identified as Bacillus cereus C71. The optimal temperature and pH for the hydrolysis reaction with resting cells were 35°C and 8.0, respectively.

Stability of Poly(3-Hexylthiophene):Phenyl-C71-Butyric Acid Methyl Ester Solar Cells Modified by Pre-designed Supramolecular Nanostructures

Journal of Electronic Materials, 2020
The air stability of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT):phenyl-C71-butyric acid methyl ester (PC71BM) solar cells and their modified configurations was investigated by pure carbon nanotube (CNT), CNT-g-poly(3-dodecylthiophene) (PDDT) (stem)-P3HT (leaf), CNT-g-P3HT/P3HT butterfly, and core (CNT)-mantle (polyaniline (PANI))-shell (P3HT) nanostructures over a ...

Improving the photo-current of poly(3-hexylthiophene): [6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl-ester photodetector by incorporating the small molecules

Thin Solid Films, 2020
Abstract This work demonstrates the improvement in photo-current response of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT)-based thin film organic photodetector by introducing [6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl-ester (PC71BM) as an acceptor in binary blended thin films and vanadyl 3,10,17,24-tetra-tert-butyl-1,8,15,22-tetrakis(dimethylamino)-29H,31H-phthalocyanine

Abstract C71: Validity of self-reported mammography screening in prospective study of Hispanic / Latino women living in the Northeast, US

Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, 2017
Abstract Background & Objectives: Hispanic/Latinas (H/Las) are more likely to be diagnosed with later staged breast cancer when compared with White women. Mammography screening, an important early detection tool, is effective when received at regular intervals.

Abstract C71: Discrepancies in perceptions of colorectal cancer screening and willingness to screen among Federally Qualified Health Centers staff and Latino community members

Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, 2018
Abstract Background: With colorectal cancer (CRC) persisting as the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the US, it is imperative that screening perceptions and behaviors among underserved populations be investigated and better understood.
