Isospin Dynamics in Heavy Ion Collisions: EoS-sensitive Observables [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Heavy Ion Collisions (HIC) represent a unique tool to probe the in-medium nuclear interaction in regions away from saturation and at high nucleon momenta.

Usefulness of Combinations of Vertex-Degree Weighted Path Indices and Elements of a Universal Matrix

open access: yesActa Chimica Slovenica, 2019
The mutually optimized combinations of vertex-degree weighted path indices and the vertex-degree vertex-distance weighted elements of the Universal matrix were applied in the way of TInew = ∑kN×PN(aN,bN,...) + kij×uij(aij, bij, cij).

Global, regional, and national burden of brain and central nervous system cancer in children and adolescents, 1990–2021: A systematic analysis of the Global Burden of Disease study 2021

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, Volume 9, Issue 4, Page 325-336, December 2025.
From 1990 to 2021, age‐standardized mortality rates and disability‐adjusted life year rates of brain and central nervous system cancer decreased in most regions and countries. The disease burden is generally negatively correlated with the socio‐demographic index level, and health inequalities persist across different countries and regions.

Moral distance in dictator games [PDF]

open access: yesJudgment and Decision Making, 2008
We perform an experimental investigation using a dictator game in which individuals must make a moral decision --- to give or not to give an amount of money to poor people in the Third World.

Probing the equation of state of neutron-rich matter with intermediate energy heavy-ion collisions

open access: yes, 2006
Nuclear reactions induced by stable and/or radioactive neutron-rich nuclei provide the opportunity to pin down the equation of state of neutron-rich matter, especially the density ($\rho$) dependence of its isospin-dependent part, i.e., the nuclear ...

Overall and Site‐Specific Cancer Mortality Among Older Migrants and Nonmigrants in Finland: A Population Register Study on All Deaths, 2002–2020

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 22, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective This study examined all‐cause and cause‐specific cancer mortality among older migrants and non‐migrants in Finland and the role of socioeconomic status in mortality differences. Methods We used the Finnish Causes of Death Register on all deaths (2002–2020) among individuals aged ≥ 70 (N = 718,717) and the corresponding population‐at ...

Safe implementation

open access: yesTheoretical Economics, Volume 20, Issue 4, Page 1285-1322, November 2025.
Implementation theory is concerned with the existence of mechanisms in which, at each state of the world, all equilibria result in outcomes that are within a given social choice correspondence (SCC). However, if agents make mistakes, if their preferences or the solution concept are misspecified, or if the designer is limited in what can be used as ...

Lattice effective field theory calculations for A = 3,4,6,12 nuclei [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We present lattice results for the ground state energies of tritium, helium-3, helium-4, lithium-6, and carbon-12 nuclei. Our analysis includes isospin-breaking, Coulomb effects, and interactions up to next-to-next-to-leading order in chiral effective ...

Nonrecursive dynamic incentives: A rate of convergence approach

open access: yesTheoretical Economics, Volume 20, Issue 4, Page 1461-1520, November 2025.
In repeated principal‐agent problems and games, more outcomes are implementable when performance signals are privately observed by a principal or mediator with commitment power than when the same signals are publicly observed and form the basis of a recursive equilibrium. We investigate the gains from nonrecursive equilibria (e.g., “review strategies”)
