Rationale and design of a multicenter, international and collaborative Coronary Artery Aneurysm Registry (CAAR)

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, 2017
Coronary artery aneurysm is defined as a coronary dilation that exceeds the diameter of adjacent segments or the diameter of the patient's largest normal coronary vessel by 1.5×. It is an uncommon disease that has been diagnosed with increasing frequency since the widespread appearance of coronary angiography.

Differential scattering study of asymptotically forbidden optical transitions in CaAr collisions

open access: yesChemical Physics Letters, 2003
Abstract We have investigated the laser excitation of CaAr collision pairs in a molecular beam experiment with differential detection. The metastable Ca(4s3d) 1 D state is populated by a collision-assisted transition. Measurements of differential cross-sections are reported showing interference structures.

CAARS-S:L Infrequency Index Validation

2017
One obstacle to the accurate diagnosis of ADHD in college students is malingering, although many symptom self-report measures do not contain feigning validity scales. The Infrequency Index (CII) for the Conners’ Adult ADHD Rating Scale–Self-Report: Long Version (CAARS-S:L) was developed for this purpose, although further validation of the index is ...

Two-electron pseudopotential investigation of the electronic structure of the CaAr molecule

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2002
The electronic structure of the Ca-Ar molecule is investigated using [Ca2+] and [Ar] core pseudopotentials complemented by core polarization operators on both atoms, considering the molecule to be a two-electron system. The electronic two-body problem is solved by achieving a full configuration interaction with extensive Gaussian basis sets.

Factor structure of the Conners Adult ADHD Rating Scale (CAARS) for substance users

Addictive Behaviors, 2006
Adult substance users are known to have above average rates of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), but the psychometric properties of self-report measures of ADHD symptoms for adult substance users are unknown. Subjects (206 adults with a DSM-IV substance abuse disorder) were administered the Conners Adult ADHD Rating Scales (CAARS) upon ...

Spectroscopic manifestations of phase changes in CaAr n clusters: finite size effects

European Physical Journal D, 2003
The finite temperature optical spectroscopy of CaArn clusters in the range 6 ≤ n ≤ 146 is investigated using a Diatomics-In-Molecule (DIM) Hamiltonian and classical parallel tempering Monte Carlo simulations.

Susceptibility of the CAARS-2 Self-Report to Sophisticated Malingering

Journal of Attention Disorders
Objective: The Conners Adult ADHD Rating Scales Second Edition (CAARS-2) is a norm-referenced screening measure of ADHD symptoms and associated clinical concerns in adults. Unlike its predecessor, the CAARS-2 features a Negative Impression Index (NII) to detect unrealistically negative ratings or an exaggerated ...
