Temporary aspirin resistance can occur during the post-CABG period. If the factors causing resistance can be identified, the incidence of early graft occlusions can also be minimized.25 elective CABG cases were enrolled in the study. The platelet count, mean platelet volume, the C-reactive protein level, lipid profile, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and ...

Nitric oxide and the CABG patient
Current Opinion in Pharmacology, 2012The post surgery success of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is counteracted by thrombosis and de-endothelialization, intimal hyperplasia and, over the long term, atherosclerosis. There are many reasons to assume that in CABG patients vascular bioavailability of NO generated by the endothelium plays an important role for graft function.

The determinants of CABG patients' outcomes
Health Care Management Science, 1999This study examined the self-reported health status of 90 patients who had undergone Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). Data were collected by the Short Form-36 (SF-36) instrument, administered twice at preoperative and postoperative periods. The reliability of the SF-36 ranged from 0.68 to 0.93 in the analysis of preoperative and postoperative ...

Cardiac dysfunction in the CABG patient
Current Opinion in Pharmacology, 2012Coronary revascularization with conventional CABG has the best evidence for improving outcome in patients with ischemic heart disease. Three main complications after CABG are myocardial infarction, heart failure and atrial fibrillation. Although preoperative statin and aspirin therapy are established treatment for post CABG myocardial infarction when ...

[Comparative study of CABG following PTCA and PTCA following CABG].
Nihon Geka Gakkai zasshi, 1993Forty-five cases of PTCA with prior CABG and 14 cases of CABG with prior PTCA were studied on their pathogenesis and results. Ninety-four PTCA procedures were performed electively after CABG on 45 patients and 145 lesions. Lesion success rates were 95.8% in stenosis and 55.6% in occluded vessel. The mortality was none and no emergent surgery was needed.
