EFFECTS ON THE FINAL INTENSITY OF INPUT FORCES IN LONGBOLTS INSTALLED AT THE MINING OPERATION 2 AREA, OKD, INC.

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2018
In the deep coal mines of OKD, Inc., both bolts and long bolts of different designs are used for the rock massif and steel arch support reinforcement. Continuous measurement of forces in 6 strand bolts and 1 cable bolt (long bolts, generally) was carried

Finite-Element Analysis of Temperature Field and Effect on Steel-Concrete Composite Pylon of Cable-Stayed Bridge without Backstays

open access: yesBuildings
The backless cable-stayed bridge has the advantages of beautiful shape and reasonable force, but due to the low overall stiffness of the bridge pylon during cantilever construction, it is susceptible to the effect of solar temperature.

Nanoscale Spatial Tuning of Superconductivity in Cuprate Thin Films via Direct Laser Writing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Maskless direct laser writing enables local control of oxygen stoichiometry in epitaxial YBCO thin films under ambient conditions. Sub‐micrometer grayscale patterns with tunable optical response and superconducting transport properties are achieved.

A Planar Cable-Driven Under-Sensing Model to Measure Forces and Displacements

open access: yesMachines
This paper presents a planar cable-driven model of a simple mechanism that is able to measure forces and displacements. Recently, a preliminary study based on a cable-driven sensitive mechanism was presented to the research community, underlining the innovative characteristics of the model in under-actuation and under-sensing.

Bio‐Derived Polyelectrolyte Additive–Induced Interfacial Ion‐Diffusion Barriers for Nonvolatile Organic Artificial Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sodium alginate regulates interfacial ion transport and retention in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. The carboxylate‐rich polymeric network forms a dynamic interfacial ion‐diffusion barrier that facilitates ion injection during programming while suppressing ion back‐diffusion, thereby stabilizing the electrochemically doped channel state.

Development and characterisation of traceable force measurement for nanotechnology [PDF]

open access: yes
Traceable low force metrology should be an essential tool for nanotechnology. Traceable measurement of micro- and nanonewton forces would allow independent measurement and comparison on material properties, MEMS behaviour and nanodimensional ...

Operando Tracking of Oxygen‐Vacancy Dynamics and Negative Capacitance in Ca‐Doped BiFeO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Operando electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, combined with electrocoloration, enables a direct correlation between real‐space ionic redistribution and the corresponding frequency‐domain electrical response. In lateral Ca‐doped BiFeO3 devices, time‐resolved impedance snapshots capture the evolution from bulk‐dominated mixed conduction to an ...

Couplings in parametrically excited inclined cables systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Cables in stayed bridges are subjected to important dynamic solicitations for which dynamic model are now well established. Due to their design, such structures highlight resonance phenomena and instabilities frequently observed.
