Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement for Residual Tricuspid Regurgitation After TEER

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 108, Issue 4, Page 1380-1385, October 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Residual or recurrent tricuspid regurgitation (TR) after prior transcatheter tricuspid edge‐to‐edge (T‐TEER) repair occurs in about 12% of patients within 1 year. Since surgical tricuspid valve repair or replacement is of high risk, treatment options remain scarce.

A Tale of Two States: Similarities and Differences in Neuropeptide Signaling in Larval and Adult Drosophila

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Neurology, Volume 534, Issue 10, October 2026.
Neurosecretory cells of the brain are mostly the same in larvae and adults of Drosophila melanogaster and they produce the same neuropeptides and peptide hormones (NPHs), yet their functional roles differ to a large extent between the two stages. Many other peptidergic neurons change both in numbers and function.

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 7, Issue 5, October 2026.
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

uPAR‐Targeting T Cell Engager Exerts Senolytic Effects in Mice and Non‐Human Primates With Serum Aminotransferase Activity as a Safety Monitor

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
GFD‐CD3, a uPAR‐targeting T‐cell engager, effectively cleared senescent cells and mitigated age‐related pathologies with a favorable safety profile under transaminase‐guided monitoring. ABSTRACT Senolytic CAR‐T cells targeting uPAR induce dose‐dependent toxicities.

Parent child contact problems—Re‐connecting the dots through a somatic lens

open access: yesFamily Court Review, Volume 64, Issue 4, Page 767-786, October 2026.
Abstract Parent child contact problems (PCCP) and parental alienation (PA) occupy much time for family law professionals especially as parents might use the term PA loosely, for the parent allegedly doing PA and the parent experiencing PA. Negotiating safety, connection and distance are fundamental to PCCP.
