Relationship between Aphis gossypii population dynamics and Cucurbit aphid-borne yellows virus (CABYV) epidemics in melon crops

open access: yes, 2015
The temporal dynamics of alate aphids and viruses were established in eight field trials conducted between 2010 and 2014. Alate aphids visiting melon crops were sampled daily using succion traps and frequently encountered aphid species (Aphis craccivora, Aphis fabae, Aphis gossypii, Myzus persicae) were identified.

Identification of genes in response to cucurbit aphid-borne yellows virus infection in melon

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2023
Cucurbit aphid-borne yellows virus (CABYV) is one of the most important viruses infecting cucurbits, such as melon (Cucumis melo), and severely affects the yield and quality of crops.

The complete genomic sequence of pepper yellow leaf curl virus (PYLCV) and its implications for our understanding of evolution dynamics in the genus polerovirus. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
We determined the complete sequence and organization of the genome of a putative member of the genus Polerovirus tentatively named Pepper yellow leaf curl virus (PYLCV).

Long-Term Monitoring of Aphid-Transmitted Viruses in Melon and Zucchini Crops: Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Cucurbit Aphid-Borne Yellows Virus and Watermelon Mosaic Virus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Understanding the emergence and prevalence of viral diseases in crops requires the systematic epidemiological monitoring of viruses, as well as the analysis of how ecological and evolutionary processes combine to shape viral population dynamics. Here, we

Distribution and identification of luteovirids affecting chickpea in Sudan

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2021
In Sudan yellowing viruses are key production constraints in pulse crops. Field surveys were carried out to identify luteovirids affecting chickpea crops in the major production regions (Gezira Scheme and River Nile State).

Biological and serological characterization of viruses of summer squash crops in Yugoslavia [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences (Belgrade), 2002
A survey on summer squash open field crops was carried out during 2000 and 2001 in order to identify the major viruses infecting these crops in different localities.
