Structural methods for cad for robotic processes

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 1998
A structure principle for describing manipulation robots is considered. Geometric, static, kinematic and dynamical mathematical models are presented. Important problems of interaction of manipulation robots with an external medium are formulated. The manipulation robot link is considered as a body with some surface where the directions of input and ...

An efficient graphical method for CAD

Computer-Aided Design, 1985
Abstract It is shown that using computer graphics allows an effective use of graphical, rather than analytical, methods in CAD. This simplifies the programming and debugging, saves both time and computer memory, and does this without jeopardizing the accuracy of the results.

Engineering Methods of CAD

1990
The statement of Voelcker and Requicha [VOEL78] “Geometry plays a crucial role in nearly all design and production activities in the discrete goods industries. Curiously, the industries’ primary means for specifying geometry — two-dimensional graphics — has not changed significantly for more than a century.

A CAD Method for Centrifugal Compressor Impellers

Journal of Engineering for Gas Turbines and Power, 1984
A computer-aided design method (CAD) has been developed for radially ending and backswept centrifugal compressor impellers. The geometrical concept introduced for generating the impeller geometry takes care of numerical, manufacturing, as well as aerodynamic aspects.

Methods of Microwave Mixers CAD

22nd European Microwave Conference, 1992, 1992
Various approaches to CAD of microwave mixers are considered and one of the modifications of harmonic balance technique is chosen. Software for nonlinear and linear circuits design are briefly described. Stages of microwave mixers design are written up. A DBS diode balanced and a dual-gate MESFET mixers are presented as examples.

Penalty combined method for CAD

Computer-Aided Design, 1988
This paper is devoted to a domain decomposition method for an elliptic boundary-value problem on a domain in the plane. The domain S is partitioned into a disjoint union \(S=S_ 1\cup S_ 2\) with dividing curve \(\Gamma_ 0=\bar S_ 1\cap \bar S_ 2.\) A standard piecewise polynomial finite-element method is used on \(S_ 1\), while special singular ...

Domain decomposition methods for CAD

Comptes Rendus de l'Académie des Sciences - Series I - Mathematics, 1999
Summary: Constructive solid geometry in CAD leads to domain decompositions which are based on primitive shapes, as briefly explained in the introduction below. A special role is played by ``holes'', which can be viewed in several different ways. We combine this remark with the method of virtual controls. In a previous note [the authors, ibid.

A CAD-oriented method for optimal biasing of amplifiers

2002 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37353), 2003
In the automated design of amplifier circuits, the biasing constitutes a serious obstacle that is usually overcome by resorting to the application of heuristics or thumb rules based on the experience of the designer. In fact, biasing can be regarded as the procedure that results in smartly placed bias sources of the amplifier while keeping its small ...

Efficient surface reconstruction method for distributed CAD

Computer-Aided Design, 2004
Abstract This paper describes a new fast Reverse Engineering (RE) method for creating a 3D computerized model from an unorganized cloud of points. The proposed method is derived directly from the problems and difficulties currently associated with remote design over the Internet, such as accuracy, transmission time and representation at different ...

Structured methods applied to CAD design flows

Proceedings of 1996 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium, 1996
This paper presents the structured approach for the Library Generation Flow (LGF) project which was implemented using StP (Software through Pictures). Incorporating Yourdon and Jackson structured analysis techniques, the LGF project was able to achieve 10/spl times/ cycle time reduction during the analysis and design phases. The project achieved better
