Empire Survey Review, 1934
Abstract In the Empire Survey Review for April 1934 (No. 12, pp. 382–4), the Editor has raised the question of the function of the cadastral map. As he remarks, the question is not simple, but it is easier to say what the function of the map is than to decide of what the map should consist in order that it may fulfil its function.

LiDAR Technology for Efficient and Accurate Large-Scale Mapping and Cadastral Surveying
2024 IEEE India Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (InGARSS)LiDAR technology has emerged as a superior tool for largescale mapping, particularly in cadastral surveying. By using laser pulses to measure distances, LiDAR creates highly accurate 3D representations of the Earth’s surface, surpassing traditional ...

Rubber-Sheeting Algorithm for Cadastral Maps
Journal of Surveying Engineering, 1995This paper presents a fast and efficient algorithm to homogeneously spread distortions generated by the conversion of paper maps to digital information. These distortions occur at the block borders as a result of junction adjustment, edge matching, and line adjustment.

Matching a set of digitized cadastral maps
CISM journal, 1992Errors inherent in the digitizing process inevitably lead to variations in the locations of boundaries of neighboring cadastral blocks. It then becomes necessary to adjust the digitized data to compensate for discrepancies and discontinuities in the digitized cadastral information.
