Urbanization reduces Orthoptera diversity and changes community structure towards mobile species
Orthoptera sampling at 42 dry grassland sites in Berlin revealed negative effects of urbanization on taxonomic and functional diversity. The proportion of sealed soil, the vegetation cover and the plant richness at the sampling sites had an effect on the species composition, but these effects were mostly species specific.

Abstract Within the family Proscopiidae Serville 1839 (Orthoptera, Caelifera) the majority of the described genera belong to the subfamily Proscopiinae Liana 1980.
