Aphid and endosymbiont sensitivity to heatwaves is misaligned across life stages
Insect Science, EarlyView.Aphids depend on the obligate symbiont Buchnera aphidicola, which may constrain thermal tolerance. Using a factorial heatwave experiment, we exposed nymphs and adults to moderate or extreme temperatures and measured fitness and symbiont responses.
