Optimizing Angiopep‐2 Density on Polymeric Nanoparticles for Enhanced Blood–Brain Barrier Penetration and Glioblastoma Targeting: Insights From In Vitro and In Vivo Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Angiopep‐2 peptide density on polymeric nanoparticles significantly impacts blood–brain barrier (BBB) penetration. This study explores this nuanced relationship using various in vitro models and in vivo assays, revealing that dynamic models better predict BBB penetration.

JQ1 affects BRD2-dependent and independent transcription regulation without disrupting H4-hyperacetylated chromatin states

open access: yesEpigenetics, 2018
The bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) proteins are promising drug targets for cancer and immune diseases. However, BET inhibition effects have been studied more in the context of bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4) than BRD2, and the BET ...

Cage stability analysis for SSME HPOTP bearings [PDF]

open access: yes
A numerical model of cage motion (CAGEDYN) was used to analyze the stability of bearing cages in the Space Shuttle main engine (SSME) high pressure oxygen turbopump (HPOTP).

Self‐Poled Halide Perovskite Ruddlesden‐Popper Ferroelectric‐Photovoltaic Semiconductor Thin Films and Their Energy Harvesting Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐dimensional halide perovskite thin films, (BA)2(MA)n‐1PbnBr3n+1 (n = 1, 2), exhibit both semiconducting and ferroelectric properties, enabling mechanical and light energy harvesting. Using Cr/Cr₂O₃ or PCBM as barrier layers ensures reproducible ferroelectricity.

Engineering Strategies for 2D Layered Tin Halide Perovskite Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D halide perovskites are promising candidates for field‐effect transistor (FET) applications due to their high stability and suppressed ion migration in the presence of bulky organic spacers. This review systematically summarizes the optimization engineering strategies of 2D perovskite FETs and future challenges, which provide guidance for developing ...

A first principle computation of the thermodynamics of glasses

open access: yes, 1999
We propose a first principle computation of the equilibrium thermodynamics of simple fragile glasses starting from the two body interatomic potential.

Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Distance-Locally Disconnected Graphs

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2013
For an integer k ≥ 1, we say that a (finite simple undirected) graph G is k-distance-locally disconnected, or simply k-locally disconnected if, for any x ∈ V (G), the set of vertices at distance at least 1 and at most k from x induces in G a disconnected
