Bimetallic cages

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2013
We report the results of density functional theory for 39 clusters AxBy (x + y = 10 or 12) where A and B are metals from group 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, or 14 of the periodic table. The chemical compositions were chosen to satisfy an electronic shell closing criterion.

Does Lumbar Interbody Cage Size Influence Subsidence? A Biomechanical Study.

Spine, 2020
STUDY DESIGN An experimental laboratory-based biomechanical study. OBJECTIVE To investigate the correlation between cage size and subsidence and to quantify the resistance to subsidence that a larger cage can provide.

Frontier Orbitals of Trivalent Cages:  (3,6) Cages and (4,6) Cages

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2005
A qualitative molecular-orbital treatment and group-theoretical analysis reveals the nature of the frontier orbitals of (3,6) and (4,6) polyhedral cages, consisting of a hexagonal network with triangular and square defects, respectively. Leapfrog (3,6) cages have two nonbonding filled orbitals.

Intelligent monitoring and control technologies of open sea cage culture: A review

Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, 2020
Since open sea cage culture sites are far from shore, the sea situation is complex and changeable, and the monitoring of cage culture water quality, fish behaviour, cage operation and other states is the basis of intelligent control of cage casting ...

Risk factors for cage migration and cage retropulsion following transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion.

The spine journal, 2019
BACKGROUND CONTEXT Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) is a widely accepted surgical procedure, but cage migration (CM) and cage retropulsion (CR) are associated with poor outcomes. PURPOSE This study seeks to identify risk factors associated

Porous Shape-Persistent Organic Cage Compounds of Different Size, Geometry, and Function.

Accounts of Chemical Research, 2018
The interest in shape-persistent organic cages is nearly as old as the interest in supramolecular chemistry. In the beginning, organic cages have often been synthesized in a stepwise manner, which is not only laborious but very often also accompanied by ...

Caging Out, Caging In:

Pacific Historical Review, 2019
Border fences have a long history in the United States, and that history is deeply entangled with the rise of the carceral state. As fences along the U.S.-Mexico border grew over the course of the twentieth century, they increasingly restricted the mobility of migrants both as they crossed the U.S.-Mexico divide and once they were within U.S. territory.
