By integrating core‐level imaging with electrochemical testing, we reveal active site distributions that remain obscured when using these methods in isolation. We demonstrate that understanding the transition from independent site activity to ensemble performance is crucial for better agreement with experiment and overall catalyst design.

The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Iridium–magnesium–titanium spinels increase the mass specific iridium activity and therefore can lower the noble metal loading in PEM water electrolysis. The synthesis of such catalyst is shown and the catalyst is thoroughly characterized. The increase in activity is contributed to the formation of small IrOx clusters in the transitional state from ...

Biotite and Hornblende Composition Used to Investigate the Nature and Thermobarometry of Pichagchi Pluton, Northwest Sanandaj-Sirjan Metamorphic Belt, Iran [PDF]
Pichagchi pluton is situated in the northeastern part of the Soursat complex in Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic belt of Iran. The pluton with the age of 74.20 Ma is composed mainly granodiorite, diorite, and tonalite in which mafic minerals are biotite and ...

Deviation From Fermi‐Liquid T2 Resistivity Caused by Collective Transport
A comparison of the correction to the quadratic conductivity in helium three and in metals suggests a common origin. ABSTRACT “Fermi‐liquid behavior” is nowadays used as a shorthand for quadratic temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity. In a metal, for this to occur, electrons must be cooled well below the Fermi degeneracy temperature, TF ...

A wide variety of rock types were produced by the latest Cretaceous magmatism in the Central Anatolian Crystalline Complex. These rocks can be divided into three distinct units: (i) calc-alkaline, (ii) subalkaline/transitional, and (iii) alkaline.

The polyoxo‐20‐molybdate(VI) wheel [MoVI20O60{AsO2(CH3)2}12]12− (Mo20) can be prepared with or without a central guest in a controlled, cation‐directed fashion. When Mo20 is dissolved in water, it exhibits an immediate, quantitative, and fully reversible solution transformation to a tetranuclear Mo4 cluster, which transforms in the solid state again to

Middle Triassic turbidites in the Youjiang Basin were chiefly derived from a Late Palaeozoic continental arc along the southeastern South China Block, as revealed by detrital zircon U–Pb geochronology and tourmaline geochemistry, supporting a tectonic model driven by Paleo‐Pacific subduction rather than Paleo‐Tethyan closure.
