CALCAREOUS NANNOPLANKTON OF THE TITHONIAN OF THE EASTERN CRIMEA

open access: yesCollection of Scientific Works of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the NAS of Ukraine, 2009

Development of early calcareous nannoplankton in the late Triassic (Northern Calcareous Alps, Austria)

open access: yesGlobal and Planetary Change, 2020
Calcareous nannofossils are considered to be the most productive calcifying organisms, but the impact of their emergence on the chemistry of the ocean in the Late Triassic is not understood yet. Evolutionary details of this bio-event are missing due to the scarcity of well-preserved outcrops worldwide.

Magnetostratigraphic and biostratigraphic synthesis of ocean drilling program Leg 105: Labrador Sea and Baffin Bay

open access: yes, 1989
During Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Leg 105, three sites (Sites 645 through 647) were drilled in Baffin Bay and the Labrador Sea to examine the tectonic evolution and the climatic and oceanic histories of this region.

Calcareous nannoplankton fluctuation within the Albian-Cenomanian Boundary Event of the Tethyan Himalaya

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
A hemipelagic succession 29m thick, situated in South Tibet within the Tethyan Himalaya tectonic unit, has been investigated for its calcareous nannofossil content. A total of 17 samples were subject to qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis.

CALCAREOUS NANNOPLANKTON OF APTIAN OF MOUNTINE CRIMEA

open access: yesCollection of Scientific Works of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the NAS of Ukraine, 2013
Prediscosphaera cretacea.

Living and fossil calcareous nannoplankton from the Australian sector of the Southern Ocean: Implications for Paleoceanography

open access: yes, 1998
This study documents the distribution of calcareous nannoplankton in the waters and surface sediments of the Australian Sector of the Southern Ocean, and applies the information to core samples from the region to infer past changes in the ocean between ...

CALCAREOUS NANNOFOSSIL BIOSTRATIGRAPHY AND PALEOCEANOGRAPHY OF THE TOARCIAN OCEANIC ANOXIC EVENT AT COLLE DI SOGNO (SOUTHERN ALPS, NORTHERN ITALY)

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2015
We present calcareous nannofossil biostratigraphy and abundances for the Upper Pliensbachian-Lower Toarcian interval, including the Toarcian Oceanic Anoxic Event (T-OAE), represented by the Fish Level at Colle di Sogno (N Italy).

Were Oceanic Plateaus Instrumental for Calcareous Nannoplankton Evolution?

open access: yes, 2011
The history of calcareous nannoplankton shows a general increase in species richness through the Mesozoic. Fertility and chemistry of the oceans, climate and pCO2 seem instrumental for nannoplankton abundance, diversification and adaptation, but high ...
