Maxillary Brown Tumor Unveiling Primary Hyperparathyroidism: A Rare Diagnostic Challenge

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Maxillary brown tumors are rare and may mimic malignant or odontogenic lesions, posing a diagnostic challenge. This case highlights that isolated facial swelling may be the first manifestation of primary hyperparathyroidism and underscores the importance of biochemical screening to prevent misdiagnosis and unnecessary surgery.

Chinese Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Rhinosinusitis (2024)

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Volume 12, Issue 1, Page 25-55, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), a complex inflammatory disease with heterogeneous pathogenesis, demands evolving evidence‐based strategies. Since the 2018 Chinese guidelines and EPOS2020, international advances in CRS immunopathology and biologics have revolutionized therapeutic approaches, particularly through phenotype–endotype classification ...

Immunoexpression of keratins in the calcifying cystic odontogenic tumor epithelium

open access: yes, 2009
Ameloblastomatous epithelium containing clusters of ghost cells is the typical histopathology of calcifying cystic odontogenic tumor (CCOT). This paper aimed to assess keratins AE1-AE3, K7, K10/13, K14, K18, K19, vimentin, laminin, and collagen IV in 08 ...

Epigenetic similarity between adenoid ameloblastoma and dentinogenic ghost cell tumour: DNA methylation analysis in odontogenic tumours

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Although adenoid ameloblastoma (AA) has recently been included in the WHO classification as a separate tumour type, its clinical, histological, immunohistochemical, and molecular similarities to dentinogenic ghost cell tumour (DGCT) raise questions about the current classification system. The aim of this study was to investigate the epigenetic

Aggressive Juvenile Trabecular Ossifying Fibroma in a 4‐Year‐Old: Case Report Bringing Diagnostic Challenges and Surgical Management

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Juvenile trabecular ossifying fibroma (JTOF) is an uncommon benign fibro‐osseous neoplasm of the craniofacial skeleton that predominantly affects children and may clinically and radiographically resemble other aggressive lesions. We describe the case of a 4‐year‐old boy with a rapidly enlarging, painless maxillary mass.

Ameloblastomatous calcifying cystic odontogenic tumor: A review of a rare lesion

open access: yesJournal of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology, 2019
Calcifying cystic odontogenic tumor (CCOT) is an uncommon developmental lesion accounting for less than 2% of odontogenic tumors. Because of its diverse histopathology, there has always been confusion about its nature as a cyst or a neoplasm, although it

Le Fort I Osteotomy for Removal of an Extensive Complex Odontoma Involving the Maxillary Sinus: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Odontoma is a common odontogenic tumour in the maxillomandibular region, but its occurrence in the maxillary sinus is rare. Small‐ to medium‐sized odontomas can usually be removed without difficulties, depending on their location and proximity to adjacent structures. Nevertheless, access to extensive odontomas may be complicated.
