The Lomagundi-Jatuli carbon isotopic event recorded in the marble of the Tandilia System basement, Río de la Plata Craton, Argentina [PDF]
The “Lomagundi-Jatuli event” corresponds to the most important δ13C positive anomaly (≥5‰) globally reported in Palaeoproterozoic marine carbonates (between ∼2.30 and 2.06 Ga).

This graphical abstract illustrates the steps carried out in the laboratory study, including saponin modification and characterization, surface tension, interfacial tension, contact angle, adsorption, and surfactant injection tests. Abstract In this study, three forms of saponin surfactants extracted from the Camellia sinensis plant (CS1, CS2, and CS3)

Abstract In solid–liquid–vapour systems, the effect of film pressure (πe$$ {\pi}_e $$) by vapour adsorbate molecules becomes significant when the solid surface energy is similar to or larger than that of the liquid. We extend Young equation applicability to estimate contact angles of pure and mixed liquids on smooth solids by including πe$$ {\pi}_e $$,

Pigment‐Macromolecule Complexes Isolation from Sea Urchin Biomineral Waste for Coloring Materials
A methodology has been developed to extract the colored organic fraction occluded within seashell biomineral waste. Applied to sea urchin skeletons, free polyhydroxylated naphthoquinone (PHNQ) pigments and PHNQ‐macromolecule complexes are isolated. These complexes show superior pH stability in purple hues compared to free PHNQ, which shifts from red to

Electrochemical and biomimetic deposition of calcium phosphates on titanium alloys
The presence of impurities of other metals in titanium alloys affects the composition of the oxide film after heat treatment: in addition to rutile, the VT 00 alloy contains Ti6O oxide, which in the VT 1-0 and VT 6 alloys is transformed into Ti3O oxide ...

Periodicity in the Solarisation of Calcite [PDF]
REPEATED solarisation due to a prolonged exposure to the light of a quartz mercury lamp was observed by the photoluminescence exhibited by calcite from Nabeto. A definite quantity (0.045 gm.) of the finely granulated specimen was put at suitable intervals of time into the depressions of the sample holder1 placed 15 cm.
