Electrochemical Design of Atomically Conformal Ga2O3 Buffer Layers via Cu2O‐Catalyzed Nitrate Reduction Reaction for Efficient Cu2O Photocathodes

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Cu2O catalyzes nitrate reduction to locally generate OH− at the electrode surface, enabling the first uniform electrochemical deposition of Ga2O3. The Cu2O/Ga2O3‐based photocathodes achieve onset potentials above 1 VRHE, 3.8% solar‐to‐hydrogen efficiency, and stable operation for over 60 h in all‐inorganic tandem PEC devices.

Antibacterial action of calcium hydroxide vehicles and calcium hydroxide pastes

Journal of Investigative and Clinical Dentistry, 2012
AbstractAimTo evaluate the in vitro action of vehicles alone and with calcium hydroxide against different bacterial species.MethodsAgar plates were inoculated with the microbial suspensions, and wells were made and filled with the calcium hydroxide pastes and the vehicles used to prepare the pastes. The zones of inhibited bacterial growth were recorded,
