Interaction of calcium lignosulfonate with tricalcium silicate, hydrated tricalcium silicate, and calcium hydroxide

open access: yesCement and Concrete Research, 1972
Abstract Tricalcium silicate, bottle-hydrated tricalcium silicate and calcium hydroxide were each treated with 0.015–1.0% calcium lignosulfonate (CLS) using water or dimethyl sulfoxide. At low CLS concentrations C 3 S hydrates and irreversibly adsorbs CLS. At concentrations beyond about 0.25–0.35% the hydration of C 3 S is inhibited.

Advancements in CO2 Capture Technologies: A Review of Amine Absorption and Alternative Methods for Post‐Combustion Integration

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Carbon capture technologies are poised to become one of the primary focuses regarding the achievement of net‐zero emissions by the year 2050. In these technologies, particular attention is given to post‐combustion CO2 capture, which is more easily implemented at existing power stations and other industries.
