Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Effect of chemical mixing state on the hygroscopicity and cloud nucleation properties of calcium mineral dust particles [PDF]
Atmospheric mineral dust particles can alter cloud properties and thus climate by acting as cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) that form cloud droplets. The CCN activation properties of various calcium mineral dust particles were studied experimentally to ...

EFFECT OF SOME NITROGEN AND SULPHUR SOURCES ON PLANT GROWTH AND YIELD OF ONION (ALLIUM CEPA, L.) [PDF]
Two field experiments were conducted at the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta during the winter seasons of 1995/96 and 1996/97, to study the effect of some nitrogen and sulphur sources on plant growth, yield and ...

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Observations on the reaction calcium sulphate hemihydrate + water ↔ gypsum
A study by microscopy was made of the dehydration and rehydration of grains and single crystals of gypsum. The results confirm the view that, although dehydration of gypsum may be topotactic, hydration of calcium sulphate hemihydrate is merely a matter ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Nitrate, ammonium and urea nitrogen as fertilizers for wheat and rye in a field experiment
In a five-year field experiment on a well-limed sandy soil five nitrogen fertilizers were compared. They were urea, ammonium sulphate, calcium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate and a mixture of ammonium sulphate and calcium nitrate.

Comparison Between Βiphasic Alloplastic ß-Tricalcium Phosphate in Calcium Sulphate Matrix and ß-Tricalcium Phosphate Bone Grafts in Immediate Implant Placement in Mandibular Molars [PDF]
Introduction: One of the primary challenges associated with immediate implant placement was the presence of a "jumping gap" between the implant fixture and the surrounding bone.
