ACM SIGLOG News, 2017I once heard it said that cousins can be best friends because they understand the quirks of each other's families but are separated enough not to be hindered by sibling rivalry. If this is true, then Mathematical Foundations of Programming Semantics (MFPS) and the Conference on Algebra and Coalgebra in Computer Science (CALCO) are cousins.
