Bending Performance of a Prestressed Concrete Composite Girder Bridge with Steel Truss Webs
An experiment was conducted on a prestressed concrete (PC) composite girder bridge with steel truss webs to investigate its flexural performance. The mechanical characteristics and failure modes of a PC composite girder bridge with steel truss webs was ...

The Effect of the Bearing Width on the Buckling Capacity of Partially Loaded CLT Member
The calculation method for buckling capacity of cross-laminated timber (CLT) under axial load with one-way members has been investigated and incorporated into design codes worldwide. However, the load may only be applied to a part of the CLT members.

Quasi-Langevin method for shot noise calculation in single-electron tunneling [PDF]
It is shown that quasi-Langevin method can be used for the calculation of the shot noise in correlated single-electron tunneling. We generalize the existing Fokker-Plank-type approach and show its equivalence to quasi-Langevin approach.

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

We propose a new Monte-Carlo method for calculation of the Casimir forces. Our method is based on the formalism of noncompact lattice quantum electrodynamics. This approach has been tested in the simplest case of two ideal conducting planes.
