Megalourethra is a rare congenital malformation of the urethra. Multiple associated anomalies have been noted in the cases reported thus far. However, none of the cases reported showed associated calculi either in the megalourethra or elsewhere in the urinary tract. A case of scaphoid megalourethra is presented here to illustrate the unique presence of

Abstract— A short account is given of the value of the various kinds of crystallographic examination of calculi. The results of X‐ray diffraction analysis of twenty urinary calculi from dogs (urate, oxalate, phosphate and cystine types) are compared with those obtained by qualitative chemical analysis.

Action structures have previously been proposed as an algebra for both the syntax and the semantics of interactive computation. Here, a class of concrete action structures called action calculi is identified, which can serve as a non-linear syntax for a wide variety of models of interactive behaviour. Each action in an action calculus is represented as

Matrix calculi are an uncommon form of urinary tract concretion. They must be considered in the differential diagnosis of a radiolucent mass within the renal collecting system or ureter. The clinical and radiographic features of three cases are presented and the literature of matrix calculi is reviewed.

A previous paper proposed a finitary system of logic which was surmised to be basic in the sense that every finitary system of logic could be defined within it. In the present paper this anticipated result, or rather its syntactical counterpart, is definitely established as Theorem VI. The calculus K is a formalization of the basic logic.

Scrotal calculi are freely mobile calcified bodies lying between the layers of the tunica vaginalis of the testes. The etiology of scrotal calculi is unclear. They may develop as a sequela to hematomas or inflammatory changes within the scrotum or loose bodies from torsion and infarction of the appendix testis or epididymis.

The presence of calculi in 300 whole prostates from consecutive autopsies were investigated by the Faxitron imaging technique. Calculi were found in 99% of the prostates, their number and size increasing with age. They were mainly localized in the ducts in the borderzone between the middle lobes and the periferal prostate posterolaterally, but often ...

Although calculi in the parotid salivary gland are not common, the variability in their mode of presentation and their situation in the gland or its main ducts pose problems in management. They may be single or multiple and associated with sialadenitis or sialectasis.
