Catecholaminergic Contributions to Inhibitory Control Following Physical Fatigue: Behavioral and Neurophysiological Findings

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 26, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Acute physical fatigue can impair cognitive control, yet its underlying neurochemical mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigated whether catecholaminergic modulation influences behavioral and neural markers of inhibitory control following physical fatigue.

An Alternative Approach for Detecting Problematic Alcohol Use: Developing the Student Alcohol Risk Assessment Scale‐15 Using AI‐Assisted Machine Learning

open access: yesInternational Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research, Volume 35, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background/Aim Risky alcohol use is common among university students and negatively impacts physical and psychosocial health. Current screening instruments focus only on behavioral indicators, neglecting psychosocial factors. This study aimed to develop an AI‐supported, brief student‐focused tool for assessing alcohol‐related risk and to ...

A Semi‐Discrete Lagrangian‐Eulerian Numerical Scheme for Diffusive‐Dispersive Conservation Laws With Discontinuous Coefficient

open access: yesNumerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations, Volume 42, Issue 5, September 2026.
ABSTRACT In this work, we present an extension of the semi‐discrete Lagrangian‐Eulerian numerical scheme for diffusive‐dispersive conservation law problems, including a jump discontinuous flux function. As in the one‐dimensional scalar hyperbolic case, the no‐flow curves also organize the geometry of the method.

Adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with migraine: A retrospective multicenter cohort study

open access: yesPregnancy, Volume 2, Issue 5, September 2026.
Abstract Objective Migraine affects 15%–20% of women of reproductive age, with peak incidence during the childbearing years. While prior studies have demonstrated an association between migraine and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, data on other outcomes and differences between migraine subtypes remain limited.

Student peer‐led discussion in real‐time evaluation of introductory statistics teaching

open access: yesTeaching Statistics, Volume 48, Issue S1, Page S89-S96, Summer 2026.
Abstract Introductory statistics courses, prevalent in higher education, face challenges in collecting and applying student evaluations within their short duration, especially for diverse Master of Science cohorts with varied subject backgrounds. UK guidance on teaching graduate students introductory statistics prioritizes assessment and feedback over ...
