Analysis of RNA-Protein interactions involved in calicivirus translation and replication
The interaction of host-cell nucleic acid-binding proteins with the genomes of positive-stranded RNA viruses is known to play a role in the translation and replication of many viruses.

Rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) is a calicivirus that causes acute infections in both domestic and wild European rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). The virus causes significant economic losses in rabbit farming and reduces wild rabbit populations.

Enhanced Thermal‐ and Photostability of Trace Pyrazine‐Incorporated Hydrogen Boride Nanosheets
Pyrazine‐incorporated hydrogen boride (Pyrazine‐HB) nanosheets exhibit significantly enhanced thermal and photostability while retaining a high hydrogen content. Trace pyrazine incorporation increases the hydrogen release temperature by ≈200 K and suppresses UV‐triggered desorption.

Transcription of feline calicivirus RNA [PDF]
We report here the cloning and 3' sequence determination of feline calicivirus strain F9. Subcloning the 3' terminus enabled the production of strand specific probes for RNA synthesis. We extend the number of virus specific RNAs detected intracellularly to 8, and show that numbers 1-5 are represented as negative strands which may serve as templates in ...

High Pressure Processing and its Application to the Challenge of Virus-Contaminated Foods [PDF]
High pressure processing (HPP) is an increasingly popular non-thermal food processing technology. Study of HPP’s potential to inactivate foodborne viruses has defined general pressure levels required to inactivate hepatitis A virus, norovirus surrogates,

Enhanced Hydrogen Release from Hydrogen Boride Nanosheets via Carbon Doping
This study reports the synthesis of carbon‐doped hydrogen boride nanosheets through an ion‐exchange approach. Carbon incorporation weakens BHB bonds, enhancing hydrogen release under thermal and ultraviolet stimuli. Spectroscopic analysis and density functional theory calculations confirm the structural and electronic changes, demonstrating carbon ...

Potential Therapeutic Agents for Feline Calicivirus Infection
Feline calicivirus (FCV) is a major cause of upper respiratory tract disease in cats, with widespread distribution in the feline population. Recently, virulent systemic diseases caused by FCV infection has been associated with mortality rates up to 50 ...
