A New Guard-Band Call Admission Control Policy Based on Acceptance Factor for Wireless Cellular Networks

open access: yes, 2014
Utilization of limited resources and quality of service (QoS) improvement are the major concerns for wireless communication networks. Excessive call blocking is a constraint to attain the desired QoS.

Large‐Scale Genomics Reveals Three‐Source Ancestry and Layered Adaptation to High Altitude in Tibetan Chickens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome analysis of 1,054 chickens reveals three ancestral sources (NWC, SYA, and SHF) with distinct temporal entry patterns into the Tibetan Plateau. Route‐specific selection scans, calibrated against a demographic null, suggest complementary functional enrichments—vascular homeostasis (NWC), calcium signaling and cardiac adaptation (SYA), and ...

Adaptive Radio Access Technology Selection Algorithm for Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

open access: yesABUAD Journal of Engineering Research and Development
In Heterogeneous Wireless Networks (HWNs), Radio Access Technologies (RAT) can only consider the situation of one particular Radio Resource Management (RRM) which is unsuitable for managing multiple RATs.

Personalized Network‐Guided Neuromodulation Enhances Human Working Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A personalized neuromodulation framework combining individualized functional brain network targeting with real‐time neural decoding is introduced. Using concurrent TMS–fMRI, participant‐specific stimulation targets and optimal frequencies are identified. Only optimal‐frequency stimulation improves working memory across sessions.

FUCA2 Sustains AKT Signaling and Suppresses Senescence by Antagonizing FUT3‐Mediated ErbB3 Fucosylation in Lung Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While targeted therapies have improved outcomes in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), many patients still lack targetable mutations. Here, we identified alpha‐L‐fucosidase 2 (FUCA2) as a crucial driver of LUAD by preventing cellular senescence. Mechanistically, through the restriction of fucosyltransferase 3 (FUT3)‐mediated α‐1,3‐fucosylation of ...

Performance analysis and re-modeling of secondary users in cognitive radio system

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
A number of errors in the past Markov model and theoretical analysis were discussed in spectrum access based on cognitive radio network (CRN).To imitate the behav ary user (PU) and secondary user (SU) factually, new models for access strategy were ...

The Host Cell Factor Phosphatase‐2A Subunit PR130 Restricts Replication of Herpes Simplex Virus Type‐1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular, genetic, virological, and biochemical analysis in combination with global proteome and phosphoproteome profiling and functional assays were applied to study the role of PR130 in the context of HSV‐1 replication. The observations reveal that host‐intrinsic mechanisms regulate HSV‐1 replication and highlight PR130 as a susceptibility factor of

Optimal admission policies for small star networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
In this thesis admission stationary policies for small Symmetric Star telecommunication networks in which there are two types of calls requesting access are considered. Arrivals form independent Poisson streams on each route.

Multi‐Omics Insights Into the Mechanisms of Early Muscle Fiber Difference and Transformation Between Lean‐Type and Chinese Indigenous Pigs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multi‐omics analyses uncover breed‐specific cis‐regulatory landscapes and higher‐order chromatin architectural differences that underlie early postnatal muscle fiber divergence in pigs. A super‐enhancer upstream of PPP3CB recruits MEF2C to activate PPP3CB transcription, while the PPP3CB–MEF2C positive feedback loop promotes oxidative muscle fiber ...
