The stage-specific appearance of calliphorin in cuticles of Calliphora vicina was analysed by sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and immunoblotting. The fate of the protein, injected into last instar larvae, was pursued by autoradiography of histological sections.
