Toric intraocular lenses: Evidence‐based use

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Ophthalmology, Volume 50, Issue 5, Page 481-489, July 2022., 2022
Abstract Uncorrected refractive astigmatism degrades visual acuity. Spherical intraocular lenses (IOLs) leave astigmatic errors resident in the cornea manifest in refractive astigmatism. Toric IOLs, correcting for this corneal astigmatism, contribute to spectacle‐free vision in the pseudophakic eye.

Power dynamics in software platform ecosystems

open access: yesInformation Systems Journal, Volume 32, Issue 2, Page 310-343, March 2022., 2022
Abstract In software platform ecosystems, the technological and structural peculiarities vest the platform owner with an extremely powerful position that puts any complementor at the mercy of the platform owner's actions. Paradoxically, it is the self‐determination and proactivity of the complementors that determine the ecosystem's success through ...

New worlds, new chemistry, new ceramics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ceramic Engineering &Science, Volume 3, Issue 6, Page 252-266, November 2021., 2021
Space missions have documented the chemical diversity and complexity of planets and moons in our own solar system. Astronomers have found thousands of exoplanets orbiting other stars in our galaxy, whose diversity implies immense chemical, ceramic, geological, and mineralogical complexity.

Oscillations and Stability of the Jupiter Polar Cyclones

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 48, Issue 14, 28 July 2021., 2021
Abstract Juno discovered the circumpolar cyclones polygons on Jupiter in 2017. Fundamental questions regarding Jovian cyclogenesis concern the formation mechanism and whether these cyclones are deep or shallow. Recent data by Juno/JIRAM infrared camera show that any change is an extremely unlikely event on an annual scale.
