Shape‐Changing Multiphase Microparticles from Complex Liquid Crystal Emulsions
Liquid crystalline network (LCN) microparticles are prepared from single, double (Janus), and triple emulsions through a simple and scalable bulk‐emulsification strategy. Under heating, the particles exhibit robust, reversible, large‐amplitude deformations that depend both on the morphology and the liquid crystals director field configuration.

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

By introducing FeCoNi medium‐entropy alloy, the bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) material achieves a record‐high ZT of 1.1 at 773 K, owing to the solid‐states replacement reaction and the volatilization of low melting‐point metal. This strategy is also applicable to other sulfur‐based thermoelectric materials.

Performance of a geometric deep learning pipeline for HL-LHC particle tracking
The Exa.TrkX project has applied geometric learning concepts such as metric learning and graph neural networks to HEP particle tracking. Exa.TrkX’s tracking pipeline groups detector measurements to form track candidates and filters them.
