Identification and Biological Characterization of a Novel NRF2 Activator Molecule Released From the Membranes of Heat‐Treated Bifidobacterium breve NCC 2950

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, EarlyView.
We have shed light on the mode of action behind the postbiotic form of Bifidobacterium breve NCC 2950. Heat treatment of this strain at 90°C leads to the production of 4‐oxo‐2‐pentenoic acid (OPA), which activates NRF2 host response, improving oxidative stress resistance and decreasing inflammation. ABSTRACT Postbiotics are defined as a “preparation of

The dynamic course of spontaneous muscular contractions assessed using multiple‐point acquisition in diffusion‐weighted stimulated echo imaging

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The temporal course of spontaneous mechanical activities of musculature (SMAMs) is investigated using a novel multiple‐point diffusion‐weighted stimulated echo imaging sequence (MP‐DW‐STE) with adapted spatial and temporal resolution. For this purpose, different sequence settings and measurement parameters are applied. Methods A single‐

Cardiac diffusion kurtosis imaging in the human heart in vivo using 300 mT/m gradients

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is commonly used in cardiac diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI). However, the tissue's microstructure (cells, membranes, etc.) restricts the movement of the water molecules, making the spin displacements deviate from Gaussian behavior.

Peripheral Nervous System Involvement of Hereditary Transthyretin Amyloidosis in the United States: A Multi‐Center Perspective

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTRv) is an autosomal dominant multisystem disorder that occurs worldwide. The most common mutation in the United States, V142I, has previously been described as having a primarily cardiac presentation.

Development of a Photothermally Polymerized Gelatin/Poly(ethyleneglycol)Dimethacrylate/Methylcellulose Hydrogel for Sustained Carbenicillin Delivery in Chronic Wound Healing

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
A photopolymerized hydrogel patch composed of gelatin, poly(ethylene glycol) 1000 dimethacrylate (PEGDMA), and methylcellulose enables localized and sustained delivery of carbenicillin. The system exhibits controlled release kinetics and antibacterial efficacy against chronic wound pathogens.
