Intraspecific variation and detectability of iridescence in the dorsal coloration of a wall lizard
Wall lizards (genus Podarcis) show substantial intraspecific colour variation and iridescence, which may interact and affect overall colour appearance. Here, we set out to study iridescence in Podarcis liolepis in two localities in which lizards are known to differ in dorsal coloration. Our results show that P.

ABSTRACT Approximately, 40% of earthworm species can reproduce by parthenogenesis. This is the case for the cosmopolitan species, Aporrectodea trapezoides, although sexual forms have been described sporadically. We analyse the genotypes and microbiomes of 30 individuals from four localities where both forms appear in order to understand the ...

We determined morphological and molecularly two species of bat flies: T. parasiticus (Streblidae), and B. silvae (Nycteribiidae). We generated the first sequences for both species in the country for the cytochrome oxidase subunit I. We do recover monophyletic groups for both species, and we discussed the tree topology.
