Research of Cambisols in Western Balkan Mountains [PDF]
The research deals with Cambisols soil classification and parameters in the area of Western Balkan Mountains. The studied soils are spread in the Lower altitude area of oak forests (0 to 600 m a.s.l.) and in the Middle mountain area of beech and coniferous forests (600 to 2000 ma.s.l.). The gradient of the slopes varied from flat to steep.

Persistence of denitrifying enzyme activity in refrigerated and air‐dried Cambisols
Soil Use and Management, 2000Abstract. Denitrifying enzyme activity (DEA) declined to a greater extent and was more variable in soils stored air‐dried for 6 months than after storage at 4 °C. DEA was greatest in fertilized soils. The relative differences in DEA between soils were maintained after storage at 4 °C.
