Performance Analysis for Gait in Camera Networks

open access: yes
This paper deploys gait analysis for subject identification in multi-camera surveillance scenarios. We present a new method for viewpoint independent markerless gait analysis that does not require camera calibration and works with a wide range of ...

A high-precision calibration method for distorted camera

open access: yes, 2004
This paper proposes a calibration strategy for distorted camera with high precision. It makes use of planar homography constraint to estimate the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters.

Spatial calibration of an optical see-through head-mounted display

open access: yes, 2008
We present here a method for calibrating an optical see-through Head Mounted Display (HMD) using techniques usually applied to camera calibration (photogrammetry).

Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.

Sensitive and Spatially‐Resolved Electrochemiluminescence via Micropatterning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The use of a simple silica nanoparticle surface coating and patterning process can transform ordinary gold electrodes into multiplexed ECL sensing electrodes. Through spatially confined droplet formation and local ECL emission, it is possible to perform multiple analyses simultaneously from individual locations as well as intensify the ECL signal by as

A stepwise camera calibration method incorporating compensation for eccentricity error

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation
In visual measurement, high-precision camera calibration often employs circular targets. To address issues in mainstream methods, such as the eccentricity error of the circle from using the circle’s center for calibration, overfitting or local minimum ...

A 3D‐Printed Blister Test Platform for Quantifying Biointerface Adhesion Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed blister platform enables energy‐resolved characterization of soft hydrogel–rigid interfaces. Integrating precision pressure control with hyperelastic modeling directly quantifies adhesion energy (G) and R‐curve toughening. Results reveal that modulating hydrogel concentration and surface roughness drives a tunable transition from cohesive ...

Minimally Invasive Delivery of Optical Nanosensors Using Injectable Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Injectable peptide hydrogels offer a minimally invasive delivery platform for single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)‐based near‐infrared fluorescent sensors, enabling real‐time measurement of drug concentrations. Encapsulated SWCNTs show a dose‐dependent fluorescence response across physiologically relevant concentrations and retain their fluorescence ...
