Towards an automatic camera trap pipeline
This thesis was submitted for the award of Doctor of Philosophy and was awarded by Brunel University London This thesis delineates a robust pipeline aimed at bolstering ecological monitoring and con servation endeavors through automated camera trap analysis. The discourse is structured around three core segments: detection, species identification, and

This study harnesses hydrodynamic flows to generate, confine and stimulate stem cell spheroids, enabling the large‐scale production of extracellular vesicles (EVs). This innovative method not only streamlines spheroid formation and subsequent EV release in a single, integrated process, but also ensures the generation of EVs with enhanced biological ...

A Mussel‐Inspired Bioadhesive Patch to Selectively Kill Glioblastoma Cells
An innovative mussel‐inspired bioadhesive patch has been developed for post‐surgical glioblastoma treatment. The patch, which adheres strongly in biological environments, releases a localized treatment. This treatment, acting via reactive oxygen species, shows specific toxicity to glioblastoma cells.

Soybean Auxin Transporter PIN3 Regulates Nitrate Acquisition to Improve Nitrogen Use and Seed Traits
Xu et al. discovers that switching off auxin transporters in soybean, PIN3a and PIN3b, disrupts auxin flow; this triggers ARF‐STF3/4 signal cascade to activate the nitrate importer NPF2.13 and soil nitrogen acquisition. Multi‐year field trials show edited soybeans maintain yield with higher oil content, offering a potential genetic route to improve ...
