Digestive enzymes activity in larvae of Cameraria ohridella (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae)

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Biologies, 2010
This article presents the activity of carbohydratases and proteases in the midgut of Cameraria ohridella larvae – an oligophagous pest whose preferred feeding is horse chestnuts leaves. Optimal media pH of the assayed enzymes were similar to those of other Lepidopterans.

Ancient expansion of the Hox cluster in Lepidoptera generated four homeobox genes implicated in extra-embryonic tissue formation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Gene duplications within the conserved Hox cluster are rare in animal evolution, but in Lepidoptera an array of divergent Hox-related genes (Shx genes) has been reported between pb and zen.

The horse chestnut leafminer Cameraria ohridella: chemical control and notes on parasitisation

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2007
The expected high efficacy of Dimilin but also good protection by treatment with Confidor and Calypso were demonstrated. Mospilan was less effective. A high mortality of ultimate larval instars of the leafminer and their substantial parasitisation was ...
