Wildfire Progression Time Series Mapping With Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR)
We describe a novel algorithm to accurately characterize burned area and generate a time series of active burned areal extent during an actively burning wildfire based upon changes in the second-order statistics of interferometric synthetic aperture ...

Target detection method based on Cameron decomposition and Hilbert-Huang transform roughness
2022 2nd International Conference on Electronic Information Engineering and Computer Technology (EIECT), 2022In order to solve the difficult problem of small target detection such as missing a priori conditions, small radar scattering cross section in complex environment and sea surface clutter interference causes the Doppler frequency range of small targets to

The helicity asymmetry parameter τ in the Cameron decomposition indicates the degree to which a scatterer deviates from being an ideal symmetric scatterer. However, the solving procedure of τ can only be expressed in terms of single-look Sinclair scattering matrix. In this paper, we extend the helicity τ to a generalized helicity parameter τg, which is

An alternate definition of the asymmetry parameter τ, appearing in the Cameron decomposition is presented. The new definition is signed as τs, but in absolute value, it is equivalent to the previous definition. The Cameron decomposition signed asymmetry parameter τs is given in terms of the Huynen decomposition parameters, including but not limited to ...

Polarimetric SAR Signature Detection Using the Cameron Decomposition
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2014An approach to the detection of specific polarimetric SAR signatures is presented. The polarimetric response in a resolution cell can be viewed as a sample of the electromagnetic scattering matrix for that resolution cell. Through the use of multiple coherent apertures, multiple samples of the scattering matrix can be obtained.

Robust discrimination of permanent scatterers using Cameron Decomposition
SPIE Proceedings, 2014One of the main difficulties encountered in Differential Interferometry (DInSAR) applications is temporal and spatial decorrelation over time. Single pixels, called Permanent Scatterers (PS), overcome this difficulty since they are coherent over time and over wide look-angle variations.

In 1996, Cameron proposed an approach to decompose an arbitrary polarization scattering matrix into three orthogonal components, including nonreciprocal scattering component, maximum symmetric scattering component, and minimum symmetric scattering component. In this paper, based on the analysis of the characteristics of the maximum symmetric scattering

The properties of conservative symmetric polarimetric scatterer scattering matrices are examined. It is shown that the unambiguous rotation angle for "conservative" symmetric polarimetric scatterers is the interval (-pi/4,+pi/4] as compared with (-pi/2,+pi/2] for nonconservative symmetric scatterers.
