Thermal state of the Campi Flegrei caldera inferred from seismic attenuation tomography
Journal of Geodynamics, 2001Athree-dimensional Qp image of the Campi Flegrei caldera between 0 and 3 km of depth has been inferred by the inversion of P rise time and pulse width data of 87 local earthquakes recorded during the last bradiseismic crisis by a local array deployed in the area by the University of Wisconsin.

4D non-linear tomography of the Campi Flegrei caldera
Since magma and gas uprise and accumulation into the crust differently affect seismic velocities, seismic tomography is revealing a potential tool to detect how melt versus exsolved magmatic volatile phase reservoirs are distributed at depth into the volcanic plumbing systems.Genny Giacomuzzi +4 more

Possibilities of Detecting Volcanic Seismic Sources at Campi Flegrei Caldera
1992Moment tensor solutions of ten earthquakes, recorded at Campi Flegrei volcanic area, are obtained. Amplitudes of P and SH direct waves, recorded by a digital three-component network, were employed as imput data for an inversion technique used to obtain the moment tensor components. Since seismic sources differing from the classical double couple can be

Chapter 5 The Campi Flegrei caldera boundary in the city of Naples
2006Abstract The Campanian Ignimbrite caldera occupies the Campi Flegrei region and part of the city of Naples. The previous caldera boundary throughout the northern periphery of Naples was merely inferred due to the lack of outcrops of proximal deposits associated with the Campanian Ignimbrite.
