Chitosan‐protected dsRNA increases efficacy against Helicoverpa armigera without compromising biosafety for pollinators

Chitosan/tripolyphosphate/double‐stranded RNA (dsRNA) nanoparticles enhance RNA interference efficacy of orally delivered dsRNA against Helicoverpa armigera. Nanoparticles reduce the LC50 and do not cause deleterious effects or toxicity on beneficial insects.

17‐epi‐Melianodiol, a new protolimonoid from Melia azedarach fruits, exhibits larvicidal activity and is associated with oxidative imbalance and midgut epithelial damage in Aedes aegypti larvae

The bio‐guided phytochemical study resulted in the new compound 17‐epi‐melianodiol. The compound eliminated 100% of Aedes aegypti larvae at 100 ppm, causing pronounced morphological changes, cuticular damage, and extensive vacuolization. The role of mesoscale weather effects in simulating pyroconvection: A case study of the Santa Coloma de Queralt wildfire
