Nature‐Inspired Functional Aerogel Fibers with Engineerable Core–Shell Morphology
Nature‐inspired core–shell aerogel fibers are fabricated through coaxial wet‐spinning, which combines a polyimide shell with MXene core. The fibers exhibited absorption‐dominant EMI shielding, low thermal conductivity, and mechanical robustness, demonstrating multifunctional potential for wearable electronics and advanced smart textiles.

Habitat associations of breeding mallards and Canada geese in southern Ontario, Canada
Understanding habitat associations of breeding mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) and Canada geese (Branta canadensis maxima) in the eastern US and Canada is important for conservation planning, yet studies at spatial scales useful to conservation planners ...

Secondary reproductive strategies in Pacific black brant (Branta bernicla nigricans) [PDF]
Thesis (M.S.) University of Alaska Fairbanks, 1999Waterfowl are known to use secondary reproductive strategies, both extra-pair copulations and intraspecific brood parasitism, to increase fitness. We used five polymorphic microsatellite loci to determine

Building upon the concepts of papermaking wet‐end chemistry and chemical additives, this work upgrades conventional cellulosic paper into thermoplastic material using plant‐cell‐derived additives, synthesized via ring‐opening modification of pulp fibers and further disassembly into aqueous solutions as additives.

The Vee Formation of Canada Geese [PDF]
THE organized vee formations of geese and other waterfowl have drawn attention from sportsmen and scientists for years. Lissaman and Shollenberger (1970) proposed that birds may fly in a vee to capitalize on upward rising components of the wingtip vortex currents generated by the wings of neighboring birds flying to the front and side. Franzisket (1951)

Abstract Much is known about the immediate effects of default choice architecture and their underlying psychological processes. Yet, significant gaps remain in understanding if, when, and how defaults produce downstream effects on consumer behavior. We resolve conceptual ambiguity around downstream default effects by developing a taxonomy to categorize
