Clinical report and literature review of right mandibular canine with two roots and two root canals
The mandibular canine usually has a single root with a single canal. It is rarely to see a mandibular ca⁃ nine with two roots and two toot canals. A case of a patient who has a right mandibular canine with two roots and two root canals was reported ...

Root canal morphology of mandibular premolars
Four hundred mandibular first premolars and 400 mandibular second premolars were decalcified, injected with dye, and made transparent to determine the number of root canals, their type, the ramifications of the main root canal, the location of apical foramina and transverse anastomoses, and the frequency of apical deltas.

Abstract The preauricular sulcus has long been debated as a pelvic feature variably attributed to obstetric stress, ligamentous traction, and broader biomechanical processes. To clarify its determinants, we analyzed 409 adult individuals from three archeological and one early modern skeletal collection from the Iberian Peninsula, integrating graded ...

Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) can provide valuable data for root canal systems of human teeth in vivo. This study used CBCT to evaluate the number of roots and canals of 300 mandibular first premolars in 150 northern Taiwanese patients.

Canal complexity of a mandibular first molar
The endodontic treatment of a mandibular molar with aberrant canal configuration can be diagnostically and technically challenging. This case report presents the treatment of a mandibular first molar with five root canals, of which three were located in the mesial root. A third canal was found between the mesiobuccal and mesiolingual root canals.

Redescription of the Triassic cynodont Cistecynodon parvus and reassessment of its phylogeny
Abstract Cynodontia is an important subclade of Therapsida that first occurred in the late Permian. It includes extinct subclades which are the non‐mammaliaform cynodonts and Mammaliaformes, with the latter ultimately giving rise to crown mammals. The systematics of non‐mammaliaform cynodonts has been extensively studied and is relatively well‐resolved,

Maxillary sinus and mandibular canal location
Dental implants have taken over the role of third dentition in recent times. The success of dental implants depends on the accurate placement of these implants. Key structures for an implantologist are the maxillary sinus and the mandibular canal. Shahin and coworkers[1] have carried out an innovative study with regard to the position of the maxillary ...

Abstract The middle Permian represents a critical interval in therapsid evolution, when gorgonopsians emerged as some of the first specialized apex predators within terrestrial ecosystems. Despite their significance, the early diversification of Gorgonopsia in Gondwana remains poorly understood due to scarcity and fragmentary material.

Mandibular tumors in the oral cavity of dogs can be locally aggressive and infiltrative, involving adjacent soft and hard tissues. Tumors that invade the mandibular canal are considered likely to extend rostrally and caudally within that structure due to

The petrotympanic canal (Huguier canal): Evolutionary, anatomical, and medical perspectives
Abstract The petrotympanic canal, traditionally referred to as Civinini's or Huguier's canal, represents an anatomical passage connecting the middle ear and temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Despite its early description, its structural complexity and functional significance have often been underestimated. In this study, we combined historical, anatomical,
