Piecewise Rational Parametrizations of Canal Surfaces

2014
Canal surfaces, as envelopes of one-parameter families of spheres, correspond to curves in Minkowski space. We show that the continuity properties of a canal surface are inherited from the continuity properties of the associated curve, i.e., two curves joined with G 1 or G 2 continuity in Minkowski space correspond to two canal surfaces joined with the

Canal Capacities for Demand Under Surface Irrigation

Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 1986
Providing water to users on demand usually requires an increase in canal capacity over the same volume of water delivered at a uniform rate. A simulation model was used to develop demand patterns for hypothetical surface irrigation conditions. These results were used to determine the canal capacity required to meet various levels of demand.

Canal surfaces in Galilean 3-spaces

2017
Summary: In this paper, we define admissible canal surfaces with isotropic radius vector in Galilean 3-spaces and we obtain their position vectors. Also we give some important results by using their Gauss and mean curvatures.
