Low‐density lipoprotein receptor‐related protein 6 (LRP6) is a key receptor for the Wnt antagonist Dickkopf1 (DKK1). DKK1 protein expression is induced in a bleomycin (BLM)‐induced lung injury model. We show that DKK1 induces proinflammatory and profibrotic genes in lung fibroblasts.

Computational methods for cancer driver discovery: A survey [PDF]
Motivation: Uncovering the genomic causes of cancer, known as cancer driver genes, is a fundamental task in biomedical research. Cancer driver genes drive the development and progression of cancer, thus identifying cancer driver genes and their regulatory mechanism is crucial to the design of cancer treatment and intervention.

An approach for the identification of targets specific to bone metastasis using cancer genes interactome and gene ontology analysis [PDF]
Metastasis is one of the most enigmatic aspects of cancer pathogenesis and is a major cause of cancer-associated mortality. Secondary bone cancer (SBC) is a complex disease caused by metastasis of tumor cells from their primary site and is characterized by intricate interplay of molecular interactions.

This study explores the distinct molecular mechanisms underlying Lynch syndrome‐associated and sporadic colorectal cancer (CRC). By highlighting the therapeutic potential of targeting the PI3K‐Akt pathway in Lynch syndrome‐associated CRC and the Wnt pathway in sporadic CRC, the findings open avenues for personalised treatment strategies, aiming to ...
