Cancer Networks: A general theoretical and computational framework for understanding cancer [PDF]
We present a general computational theory of cancer and its developmental dynamics. The theory is based on a theory of the architecture and function of developmental control networks which guide the formation of multicellular organisms. Cancer networks are special cases of developmental control networks.

High‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is the most common and aggressive type of ovarian cancer with urgent need for new treatment strategies. This study evaluates plasma‐activated media (PAM) as a novel treatment for HGSOC, showing its ability to selectively induce oxidative stress and apoptosis in HGSOC cell lines, patient ascites cells and primary

Elevated neoantigen levels in tumors with somatic mutations in the HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-C and B2M genes. [PDF]
BackgroundThe major histocompatibility complex class I (MHC-I) molecule is a protein complex that displays intracellular peptides to T cells, allowing the immune system to recognize and destroy infected or cancerous cells.

Variable screen quality, off‐target effects, and unclear false discovery rates often hamper large‐scale functional genomic screens in mammalian cells. Hart et al (2014) introduce gold standard reference sets of essential and non‐essential genes, aiming ...

Progenetix: 12 years of oncogenomic data curation [PDF]
DNA copy number aberrations (CNAs) can be found in the majority of cancer genomes, and are crucial for understanding the potential mechanisms underlying tumor initiation and progression. Since the first release in 2001, the Progenetix project (http://www.progenetix.org) has provided a reference resource dedicated to provide the most comprehensive ...

Vulnerability to the small molecule STF‐62247 is observed in SETD2‐inactivated VHL‐positive clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) cells. DNA damage and loss of CDC25A leads to cell cycle arrest in S phase. Cleavage of caspase‐3 (CASP3) and gasdermin E (GSDME) suggests cell death by pyroptosis.
