Circular replication-associated protein (Rep)-encoding single stranded (CRESS) DNA viruses include Circoviruses which have been found in several animal species and in human specimens. Circoviruses are associated with severe disease in pigs and birds and with respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders and systemic disease in dogs. In cats there are only

Complete genome sequence of the first canine circovirus. [PDF]
ABSTRACT We found a highly divergent circovirus in serum samples from several dogs. Phylogenetic analysis indicates that canine circovirus genotype 1 (CaCV-1) represents the first circovirus reported in dogs and is genetically most closely related to the only known mammalian circovirus, porcine circovirus.

Circoviruses (genus Circovirus, family Circoviridae) are ssDNA viruses that infect mammals, and they sometimes can transmit among different species. We investigated the distribution and diversity of porcine circovirus 3 (PCV-3, species Porcine circovirus

Detection and molecular characterization of canine circovirus circulating in northeastern China during 2014-2016. [PDF]
Canine circovirus (canine CV) is an etiological agent associated with diarrhea, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and vasculitis. Although canine CV has been identified and characterized in southern China in recent years, its epidemiology in other regions of China and its precise molecular characteristics have not been examined.

Focal lesions following intracerebral gene therapy for mucopolysaccharidosis IIIA
Abstract Objective Mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIA (MPSIIIA) caused by recessive SGSH variants results in sulfamidase deficiency, leading to neurocognitive decline and death. No disease‐modifying therapy is available. The AAVance gene therapy trial investigates AAVrh.10 overexpressing human sulfamidase (LYS‐SAF302) delivered by intracerebral injection ...

mFeS induces the viral ferroptosis by enhancing the lipid peroxidation level, which results in a failed viral infection. In addition, Dc(mFeS) suppresses the cellular ferroptosis‐dependent intracellular replication of influenza virus via restoring influenza virus‐induced imbalance of sulfur metabolism, and the supply of intracellular S0 ...

Abstract The Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla) is a critically endangered scale‐covered mammal belonging to the order Pholidota. Wild pangolins are notably susceptible to pathogen infection and are typically characterized by impoverished health. However, little is currently known regarding the viruses prevalent among pangolins.
