Pathogens associated with acute infectious canine tracheobronchitis in New Zealand : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masters in Veterinary Studies in Virology at Massey University, Turitea, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]
Infectious canine tracheobronchitis (ICT) or canine infectious respiratory disease, commonly known as kennel cough, is an acute, highly contagious respiratory disease that affects the larynx, trachea, bronchi, and occasionally the parenchyma of the lower

Isolation and sequence analysis of canine respiratory coronavirus
Canine respiratory coronavirus (CRCoV) has frequently been detected in respiratory samples from dogs by RT-PCR. In this report the first successful isolation of CRCoV from a dog with respiratory disease is described. The isolate CRCoV-4182 was cultured in HRT-18 cells but failed to replicate in a number of other cell lines.

Antibody Testing Against Canine Coronavirus by Immunoperoxidase Plaque Staining [PDF]
The application of the immunoperoxidase (IP) plaque staining procedure (IP test) to the diagnosis of canine coronavirus (CCV) infection was investigated. The IP test did not react with sera from either 15 specific pathogen-free (SPF) dogs or 7 SPF dogs immunized with a multivalent vaccine, including canine parvovirus type 2, canine distemper virus ...

Biosynthesis, structure, and biological activities of envelope protein gp65 of murine coronavirus. [PDF]
We have previously shown that gp65 (E3) is a virion structural protein which varies widely in quantity among different strains of mouse hepatitis virus (MHV). In this study, the biosynthetic pathway and possible biological activities of this protein were

Rapid and sensitive insulated isothermal PCR for point-of-need feline leukaemia virus detection [PDF]
Objectives: Feline leukaemia virus (FeLV), a gamma retrovirus, causes diseases of the feline haematopoietic system that are invariably fatal. Rapid and accurate testing at the point-of-need (PON) supports prevention of virus spread and management of ...
