RED PANDAS' (AILURUS FULGENS) SEROLOGICAL RESPONSE TO CANARYPOX-VECTORED CANINE DISTEMPER VACCINES.
Journal of zoo and wildlife medicine, 2019Red pandas (Ailurus fulgens) are susceptible to canine distemper, with a number of reported vaccine-induced canine distemper cases. Canarypox-vectored recombinant canine distemper vaccines (PureVax Ferret Distemper [PFD] and Recombitek CDV [rCDV ...

Oncolytic activity of canine distemper virus in canine mammary tubular adenocarcinoma cells.
Veterinary and Comparative Oncology, 2019Canine distemper virus (CDV), bearing a close resemblance to measles virus, represents a promising candidate for oncolytic therapy; however, its application and underlying oncolytic mechanisms in canine mammary carcinoma cells remain to be explored. Here,

Antigenic analysis of genetic variants of Canine distemper virus.
Veterinary Microbiology, 2018Canine distemper virus (CDV) is an RNA virus of the genus Morbillivirus within the family Paramyxoviridae. CDV produces multi-systemic disease in dogs and other terrestrial carnivores. With the development of modified live vaccines in the 1950s and 1960s,

Canine Distemper Virus Complex
Nature, 1954Plurality of the Virus. Some cross-immunity between canine distemper and human influenza viruses1 has been an intriguing problem for some time and the striking immunological relationship between canine distemper and poliomyelitis has also been reported2.

Canine distemper virus-induced thrombocytopenia
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1987SUMMARY Effects of canine distemper virus (cdv) infection on circulating platelet values were studied in gnotobiotic dogs inoculated with R252-cdv. Thrombocytopenia (< 200,000 platelets/μl) was present on postinoculation day (pid) 5 and persisted through pid 15. Peak thrombocytopenia occurred on pid 10 (< 85,000 platelets/μl).

Canine distemper virus (CDV) infection is a pantropic endemic and epidemic viral disease principally of the Canidae and their close relatives. It is world-wide in its distribution and manifests itself as an acute contagious disease with clinical signs of respiratory, gastrointestinal, and/or nervous manifestations.

Anosmia associated with canine distemper
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1988SUMMARY The sense of smell in dogs infected with canine distemper virus (cdv) was examined by use of eeg olfactometry, behavioral olfactometry, and electro-olfactography. Infection with cdv was confirmed by a direct immunofluorescence technique in 8 active cases and was suggested by clinical history compatible with canine distemper 10 to 26 weeks ...
