Immunoperoxidase study of canine distemper virus pneumonia
Research in Veterinary Science, 1983Forty-two cases of canine pneumonia were examined for the presence of canine distemper virus. For that purpose canine distemper virus inclusion bodies were located. The histopathological lesions were related to the presence of canine distemper antigen, as demonstrated with an immunoperoxidase technique.

Biological properties of phocine distemper virus and canine distemper virus.
APMIS. Supplementum, 1994Morbilliviruses constitute a major threat to the health of animal and man. To date the Morbillivirus genus in the Paramyxoviridae family comprises five established members, namely canine distemper virus (CDV), phocine distemper virus (PDV), measles virus (MV), rinderpest virus (RPV), and peste-des-petits-ruminants virus (PPRV).

Canine Distemper Virus Pathogenesis in the Ferret Model
Canine distemper virus (CDV) is a highly contagious pathogen within the morbillivirus genus infecting a wide range of different carnivore species. The virus shares most biological features with other closely related morbilliviruses, including clinical signs, tissue tropism, and replication cycle in the respective host organisms. In the laboratory ...Oliver Siering +2 more
