2024 Grade‐Specific Prevalence and Adjacent‐Grade Differences in Illicit Drug Use Among Japanese Junior and Senior High School Students

Illicit drug use among Japanese adolescents is low overall but increases with grade, with a marked rise at the transition from grade 9 to 10. This transition represents a critical window for prevention. Abstract Aim Effective school‐based prevention of illicit drug use among adolescents requires empirical guidance on when to intervene.
